Terms of use
The service
Silika is a virtual science lab ("we") for individuals and families, training centres, and schools and their pupils and staff. If a school or centre gives you access, these terms apply together with its own rules.
Your account
- Sign in only with your own account and keep it to yourself. A parent who signs up for a child is responsible for how the child uses that account.
- A centre's admin is responsible for the tutors and students they add, and for having the right to add them.
- Give us correct details, especially for invoices.
Using Silika
- Use Silika for learning and teaching. Do not try to break, overload or get around its security, or to see other people's work without permission.
- Do not share, resell or copy Silika's labs and lessons outside Silika.
- Be respectful in live rooms, projects and anything you write.
Trials, plans and payment
- New accounts start with a free trial of the full lab, for the number of days shown on the pricing page. No payment is taken for the trial, and each person, email address and school gets one free trial.
- After the trial, the full lab needs a paid plan, monthly or yearly. The price is shown before you pay, in Mongolian tögrög.
- Individuals and families pay with QPay. QPay does not charge you automatically: before your plan ends we remind you and you pay again to renew.
- Centres and schools pay by invoice and bank transfer, as stated on the invoice.
- If a payment is late, the full lab stays open for 14 more days. After that, the account keeps the free activities only, and all work is kept, until you renew.
Cancelling and refunds
You can stop at any time by not renewing; your plan runs until the end of the period you paid for. If you were charged by mistake or want to ask for a refund, write to hello@silika.app.
Virtual labs and real labs
Simulations are simplified models to help you prepare; they are not a substitute for a teacher's instructions or the safety rules of a physical lab. Being "lab-ready" in Silika does not by itself allow you to work in a lab: the teacher or person in charge decides that. Badges and certificates can be withdrawn if safety is a concern.
Your work and our content
Your projects and write-ups stay yours; you let us store and show them to you and your teachers so Silika can work. Silika's software, simulations, lessons and brand are ours. A plan lets you use them inside Silika; it does not transfer them.
Availability
We work to keep Silika available and accurate, but it is provided as is and may sometimes be unavailable or contain mistakes.
Ending access
A school's or centre's pupils and staff lose access when the school or centre ends it or they leave. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, after telling the account holder why when we can.

Changes and contact
We will post changes on this page; if a change affects paid plans, we will tell account holders by email before it applies. Questions: hello@silika.app.
